For the Red Scare, the Dallas Regional FTC competition was a series of successes and defeats. At the beginning of the day, we started experiencing technical difficulties with the connection to our robot. This led to us being about as effective as the Nazi invasion of Russia. With a 3-2 record and a rank of 12 coming into selection, we were chosen as the third partner for the third alliance. It was at this point that we consulted our squad and discovered that we were using a faulty motor controller. This was breaking the connection between our robot and phone, and causing dead times every 6 seconds. Once this was resolved, we killed it like the baby boomers killed our economy. Sadly, we lost the match by 24 points and our alliance was eliminated. We went home with our heads held high, proud that we could solve the problem and do our best in the end.
